[Philip Ford] has been the general contractor for two projects in the village of Nyack NY for which my firm was the architect. These projects are SoulFlyte, an aerial yoga studio and Bari, a takeout restaurant. Both projects were full renovations of the street level storefront floor and the basement level below.

Phil and his team started by totally gutting our existing kitchen, taking it down all the way to the studs. They built it back up with new sheetrock, stained the floors, added exquisite cabinetry with crown moldings and baseboards.

Not only does it look fantastic, but they worked late into the evening to ensure it was ready in time to host 15 family members and friends for the holiday. Thanks to Phil, we enjoyed Thanksgiving in a brand new kitchen, with stunning floors, windows, and cabinets!

I found the perfect location for my eyecare business, but the interior was over 30 years old and in poor shape. Phil came in with his team and gutted it, rebuilding the space from the ground up: new electrical, heat, plumbing, walls, doors, trim, floor, and ceiling.

Now, my customers constantly remark about how great the new office looks, especially the custom display cases with sliding glass doors. In fact, they’re so gorgeous I asked him to build two more after the initial job was done.

Our deck was in rough shape, so we asked Phil to take a look at it. He suggested we replace not only the flooring and railings, but also the underlying framing. He managed to complete the repair on schedule despite it requiring nearly twice as much work as we initially thought.
